Wow, you must have a lot of bull down under.

How's your approach angle now?

Nice RRO instal to the OP. I've been dicing with what to do for the next mod, but I'm worried this will reduce my already limited clearance, think it's going to be skid plates, though I'm not even sure those will protect the bits that have touched down so far in my travels. I've learned to gauge rocks and either go around them or hit em with my wheel. Weekend project is to slice off the plastic dams in front of the front wheels.

Must

Have

Clearance

Not likely. There is a company down under making/selling those. For non-THs only. There is a thread on here somewhere about em...

To me the lack of clearance necessitates more protection is required.

Armor is pretty critical for any sort of more serious off-roading because eventually you will encounter something you can't avoid or mis-read/judge when trying to go over it. And, skid plates are supposed to protect the things you really do not want to damage, especially if you are in the boonies.

I'm not sure the RRO bull bar/prerunner plate will do much for protection when off road but I guess if you dropped your front end off something steep, like rocky steps or a gully, it may offer some protection.

My next real mod I hope, will be rock rails... which most others would concur is necessary armor for serious offroading. Until then, I am inclined to be very conservative on the trails...

My thoughts exactly. I just like the look of the bumper bar and pre runner plate. I want the winch mount too, not because I intend to mount a winch, just because, logically, it would provide a solid connection for the bumper bar to be used as a tow point.

Skidplates are on my wish list too. However, the bits I've bent so far, would not have been protected by skidplates or rock rails.
