What have you done today to your Cherokee?

I did this in another forum an it was loads of fun to see some daily posts.
Today I installed my aFe Pro 5R air filter, the install also gave me a reason to buy a nifty telescoping magnet, first Jeep I've owned that had screws instead of clips for the air box. I had a K&N on my Liberty that made a huge difference with mileage and acceleration. Hopefully this will give me similar results.

After a long dusty trip last week, I finally gave it a wash. While the clean shine and gleam make it look all nice and pretty, I already feel the need to get it dirty again.

I went wheeling this past weekend and got all dusty and some nice myd splashes. I love the look of a clean, shiny vehicle but it looks sooo good muddy, I haven't been able to bring myself to wash it!

I did just get done cleaning the inside though. Dog hair and trail dirt all over the interior is something I have no qualms about cleaning haha!

Replaced the battery for one of the key fobs as the car was giving me an alert that it was low (nice touch), and ordered new tires for Badger. Kumho Road Venture AT51's in stock size. Should arrive tomorrow, and I'll get those installed sometime later this month. :)

Rotated my tires yesterday. 5k miles and I included the spare tire into the rotation so they can wear down evenly. That way when they run out, I can upgrade to bigger tires.

Change the oil yesterday. It was at 0% Oil Life the morning of changing the oil, and at over 7800 miles for the total oil life. I should point out that was with maybe 50-50 city/highway driving.

I also said screw it, and a couple months ago, I bought Mobil1 instead of Pennzoil because 1) It was on sale, and Costco doesn't sell Pennzoil, and 2) It's Mobil1, it'll be fine for that engine. I also opted for a Wix oil filter rather than Mopar, so I'm doing everything wrong here of course.

I use Mobil1 5w20 full synthetic in my 2010 GCL all the time. I also used it in my 04 GCL. It had 190k miles on her, before I sold it, with no engine problems ever. I intend to use it in my wife's Cherokee after the dealer is through giving me free oil changes. IMO You can't go wrong with this oil and the price is right at Costco when it's on sale.

Today marks the completion of planned major mods:
Dashcam + bumpercam
GPS tracking/telemetry
Gobi rack
Mopar rock rails
Android on Uconnect
245/70 KO2s

And, finally, a Hazard Sky lift with the help of @hazardsky himself.

Now I can start going deeper into the electronics/telemetry and the IHS bus.

I was bored so I decided to make a cheaper version of the K&N intake system for a total of $50 Canadian, only difference no shield for the air filter like on the K&N or AFE kit

I am guessing that is a bit loader than normal... how is the temperature in that area? Guess it isn't really a winter concern there lol

My favorite thread on forums, anyways first post will be positing in the introduction section soon, but trying to install 9012 HID I have Morimoto PWM 2strok Anti Flicker harness and the HID's will not work. With the Jeep running lights will be on for 2 seconds then shut off. Is there a thread about this issue or something I'm missing?

HI and welcome to the forum ;)

Where did you buy the HIDs ? Link ? Maybe we can figure something out for you...

=================================
Not today, but yesterday I had below removed from my LF Blizzak :|

In the past I had gone years without a puncture, but now this is the third one on this Cherokee (in the last 2 years). This time a self tapping metal screw, no idea where I picked it up... Not the Jeep's fault, just bad luck...

Excellent! Looks great, did you get it from eBay or somewhere else?

today i wiped it down from the rain the other day ,put some black magic on the tires ,an ready to sport a clean rig allways i keep cleaning cloths with me at all times ,got to be looking spotless, though in winter sometimes it is what it is harder to do ,when the snow flys alot ,hopeing for mild winter ,but very cold today

Picked up and installed a set of black Trailhawk wheels and tires.

Drove 2.5 hours both ways to get them. They have about 25,000 miles on them. Plenty of tread left.

Also learned that the super low profile jack I bought to work on my Challenger doesn't go high enough to get the tires on the Cherokee off the ground. Factory jack to the rescue!

today i wiped mine down like i do near every day ,to keep it looking show room new, nice to have it in the garage for winter,i have a 1 an half car garage ,wich one could say the room to have a work bench ,its only 20 x18,i wish it was 24x24 ,but did not have the room for one bigger on the lot, well worth paying $300,00 to store my camaro though, to have in for the winters

This isn't really something that I personally did, but yesterday marked exactly one year since I got my TH. Have driven it so far over 19k miles, which puts me up to almost 71k on the clock. Been pretty trouble-free thus far.

My mileage comes from offroading too.....getting to the trailheads can be a minimum of 100 miles RT for me and then the trail itself. Last weekends run was close to 300 and it'll be a bit more for our run this Saturday.
