Flowmaster exhaust

Just got a new exhaust installed. I decided to go with the flowmaster super 44. The muffler shop made a custom you pipe and replaced stock pipe tips
with flowmaster tips

Two questions:

1) how much did that setup cost?
2) what do you mean by 'it's not broken in yet'?

The muffler cost 120 and the flowmaster tips cost 150 for the pair. Then parts, custom pipes, labour and tax it came to 600cdn.

The breaking in part I was unsure about being a chamber muffler. However it does sound louder after driving 500km (I read somewhere that the heat "breaks in the muffler to its true sound".) Don't know if that's b.s. or not.

I highly recommend this set up as it really sounds mean when you hit the gas especially with the windows down.

Sorry. Not my cup of tea. I like the sound of my music; not my exhaust. These mufflers never sound right with a V6 - the sound is inherent in the way a V6 fires; in comparison to a V8.

$600 Canadian is all? When I first bought my TH, I took it to a local performance exhaust place here in Alberta and I was quoted $2000 for a Magnaflow cat back system. At that time it was the only aftermarket system out for the TH. I said no way, especially since I paid less than a thousand for my Magnaflow cats on my 2012 SRT Charger. Since that time I checked out the Flowmaster axle back system but still wasn't overly excited. But now this. YES!

Yeah the flowmaster dual axle back kit was discontinued. So I went to the muffler shop to see what they could do. I think the cat back mufflers sound better than the axle back. I kept my resonator on because I didn't want it super loud inside the jeep.

Wow - that sounds good! Surprisingly gutsy for a smaller V6. How much louder is it inside the cabin with the windows up?

It is defiantly more aggressive outside. With the windows up you hear it but it sounds nice. I also have k&n intake so my jeep is a lot louder than stock. Conversation and music at low volume is no problem. Hope that helps. I will try and record some new clips of inside outside

Do you notice a drone or vibration at any particular speed - especially in the 65 to 75 mph range? Thanks
