Mailman dropped by the dock! Hoping to get time for install today. My brother in law runs a tire shop down the road.

installed tires today, I like them. No difference in ride quality or road noise and no rubbing. Under load they are a full inch larger in diameter and i gained .5" in overall lift from the tires.

I was really hungover yesterday and only mustered the energy for the front so the back went in today. It was a pain for a few reasons but this forum is awesome and everyone is so helpful.

Rides like factory and after a quick trip around my neighborhood the rear fender over the wheel Center sits at 34.75".

Black Beauty now has 2,798 miles.

Whelp... had a little mishap past night. Pulled up at my brother in laws house, his driveway was full so I chose to park in his narrow grass side yard. Trouble is, there is a drainage ditch between the road and his lawn. In poor lighting and a tight turn I never saw it. The clearance of BB would have handled the ditch fine, however my wheel struck the edge of a 12" concrete pipe flowing ditch water under his paved driveway. Pretty loud bang. The Reem first hit the edge of the drain and took off a sliver of concrete about the size of a kit Kat bar, and the jagged area of concrete sank into the sidewall. I backed out and was sitting on the rim within seconds.

Made it home (40 min drive) on the Destination spare with no issues. The car did alert me to an error within the TPSM system as well as poor 4wd capability due to mismatched tire sizes. I'm impressed it noticed that. New tire will be in at lunch today so a mini hit to the wallet (and ego) and moving on.

Manual shifting doesn't work that way...

When you're in ERS mode, you're telling the Cherokee what the Max gear it can be in. So, if you set it to 9, you're just telling your Cherokee "Hey, you can go up to 9th gear." That doesn't actually put it in 9th.

I know that now, however I have gotten better MPG. Must be that I am feathering it more. a mental thing. I have seen 8th gear a lot more now. I've been driving about 5 mph faster on my commute and trying hard to not vary the throttle. seems to get 8th and a little better mileage.

Actually, at this point I'm over it. I was getting 12 MPG out of my last vehicle ( 2012 Tahoe ) including a couple of years ago when gas was near $4.50/gal.. Thing took 2 credit cards to fill up because the first one cuts off at $75.. and yea, it still needed more. So, Getting 20 MPG in TH is fine for me. not going to worry about even saving $100 over a year. Using "Sport" mode most of the time now. If it would remember "Sport" and of course ESS OFF that would be great. LOL...

Lame! Glad the rim wasn't damaged.

Also better this happened now instead of when you had some wear on the tires.
