I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to start a thread like this without pics.

rock rails installed on Trailhawk

The dealer charged me $1355.66 on the new car invoice. The dealer probably paid "dealer cost" whatever that was. Retail is $1189.00 so the difference would cover the installation labor. If it cost them 5 manhours for the installation they probably didn't have much profit. Parts and labor is covered by the new car warranty. Installation was difficult for the mechanics even with all of the tools and lifts.

Will attach pictures when I figure out how to do it.
First time installation took about 5 hours and sometimes required 2 mechanics.
The challenge was lining up the rock rail holes with the rocker panel holes.
Rock rails weigh just under 97 pounds.
The plastic rocker panel covers were pretty much destroyed during removal.
Its a sad state of affairs when you have a tech laden vehicle and have to figure out how to attach pictures. I know that. I had the same problem. I can handle the tech group but had to figure out how to attach.
Can't wait to see those pics.

If these are a similar setup in design to RR's I would hope it's not a 5 hour install for them as well.....
I was watching some Rubicon videos and they said the plastic rocker panels were disposable and had to be replaced several times for the shoot. Can't imagine them spending that much time in the field. I hope I can salvage mine when the time comes.
