High Pitch Sound from Engine

I recently notice a high pitch sound coming from the engine when I start up in the morning and start driving.
Kinda sounds like a supercharger when driving I determine that it's coming from the belts. It is a noticeable sound and it's bugging me.

What can it be?

No only when I turn over the engine. On Sat. I had to get towed out of a mud pit in reverse and heard kind of a popping sound could that have effect it?

The 3.6 up to a certain build date had a recall to replace the idler pulley. It sounded like a power steering pump that was low on fluid.

Mine is a 4cylender. I don't think it's the power steering because when it is in park, and I press the gas I hear it when I rev the engine. Also wouldn't I get a warning light on the dash if it was low power steering fluid?

Probably a belt tensioner, I had a similar issue on my 3.2. It will get worse if a bearing is going....apparently it is just happing when cold for the time being

Hi Ghost202,

I haven't helped anyone with this particular concern yet, so I would definitely recommend visiting your dealership. Let me know if I can help make an appointment or follow up afterwards.
