Where to Install Sliders in San Jose

Hi Nor Cal Cherokee Peeps!

I finally have my Trailhawk and my Rockyroad Rock Sliders. Any suggestions on where to get them installed in the San Jose area? Once they are on, I am ready for my first offroading adventure if anyone else wants to join me (Warning! I have never gone offroading before).

2015 Cherry Red Trailhawk with all options but CD and black wheels.
Ordered 11/1/2014 - Picked up 12/30/2014. Chrysler Lifetime Warranty, $100 Deductible.

I highly, very highly, recommend using spray in bed liner on them before you install them. If you haven't already have a look at all of the posts, mine included, related to the garbage powder coating that they come with.

Thanks for the advice. What type of bed liner did you use? One question: Does the coating matter? If I need the sliders it will be because I am sliding over rocks and I doubt the powder coating nor the bed liner will hold up.

You are right about both most likely coming off when you drag them over rocks but the bed liner is more durable and less likely to chip/gouge. The problem with the powder coating from them is the sliders are rusting within a couple weeks. The bed liner offers an extra layer of protection and can easily be touched up. I just used liner from a spray can but some people are getting line-x or rhino here in Canada.

Thanks again. I will do that too. Did you do any prep before the spray, and how many coats did you use of the liner?

I just gave them a light sanding to rough them up. I probably did 4-5 coats. If you can find some that comes in a can that you can brush on it will probably be fewer coats and go on thicker. Pay particular attention to all of the tight angles that they have welded, that is where the rust started on mine.

You can just google line x or rhino shield application and your zip code and see who is doing it in your area and get a price...some people have had pep boys do the install. I am sure you could just stop by any off road or mechanic shop and ask them if they can do it....*warn* them that the pinch wields are very hard to drill through and they need to go slow with lots of pressure. They might need a few drill bits. These are mine covered with line x.
