I will be heading to Maryhill state park on the columbia river on the weekend of Mar 28th and 29th looking for any trails in the area.

At the last moment the destination has been changed to Lyons Ferry on the Snake river

Not much to see at Lyon's Ferry.....usually is closed due to budget restraints. Just the confluence of the Palouse and Snake Rivers -- state park that has ramps for boats and picnic grounds. Beautiful steel railway trestle crossing the Snake that is a couple hundred feet high -- hopefully you can catch a train crossing while there! Go up the Palouse River several miles to Palouse Falls St. Park, though! Spring runoff will make the falls pretty impressive -- they are about 185' high! If interested, you can hike right down to where the river drops over! A couple years ago some fool set a world record riding his kayak over it (sucessfully). You can find it on Youtube. Have fun!
