Anyone looking to order "stuff" sin rock rails etc from RRO or whoever, a less expensive alternative to UPS/FEDEX etc, may be Lynden Transport out of WA.

I have an order for s set of Steprails and 2 sets of diamond plate plates coming in the group buy from RRO. Shipping to WA looks to be $98 (will know more latter). Being shipped to Lynden to be shipped up by then. Not as fast but suspect it may less expensive, if you can afford to wait. Will post more as this goes on.

In the meantime it looks like we may reach 20% discount on the rails and whatever else (plates) you order. but you need tho call ASAP.

I am currently driving the True Blue 4 cylinder Cherokee Latitude. Cold weather package, comfort and convince package and trailer package. (It is the family hauler so warm and get everywhere in comfort were the most important features.)

Yes we are in the Anchorage Bowl.

I am waiting for the snow. Just like they say in game of thowns, "Winter is coming!"

Tnx will keep an eye out for you.

Just had my first oil change done down at Lithia in S Anchorage, along with a Transmission TSB done (no info yet - sorry).
Had not had any serious issues, but there was always a hesitation when going from reverse to drive. That seems to have been cured. They did want me to bring it back, cause it seems the guy that did the service said he saw what looked like an oil leak on the pan. But since checking further and doing anything will require dropping front skids (on a TH), it would take longer than they had time for . I purchased lifetime oil changes and lifetime bumper to bumper 100 deduct policy so no skin off my back.

As you could see, mine is True Blue also, but a TH and my plates have my ham radio callsign (AL7FI) on them (blue on gold).

Enjoy your ride!

I have oil down the drivers side of my engine or some fluid and they told me I ran through something. I had them check during an oil change. Supposedly the cleaned it off. If that's the case then I "ran" through more of it. Looks like an official appointment to get checked out.

Taking mine in on Friday at 10. Saying it is a 2 part process (2 places?), so we shall see. Wish I could get back to watch, but good luck with that.

Will let you know what I find out. Paperwork from first visit is in the mail, so I should be able to find which TSB was done on the trans.

BTW, Dean I will let you know the actual cost on your plates once I get an invoice. Looks like it could be a while with the number that made the buy. Never the less it should be 109 less 20% for you!

Anxious to see how much I able to save on freight using Lynden.

Ok here is the news on shipping :

90lbs ( Step rails and 2 sets Diamond Plates)

Shipping by RRO (UPS) from Utah to Fife, WA: $93.00

Shipping from Lynden (Fife,Wa) to ANC - I pick up: $132.69

UPS would have been $360.64 UPS all the way vs $225.29 UPS & Lynden.

It is a significant savings if you can stand to wait. My stuff is due in ANC on Monday or Tuesday. When they unload the trailer off the ship and get it to the shop, they will call and I will go get it.

I plan to order Roof Rails and such from RRO later on and will have them shipped through Lynden.

Just told RRO to have them shipped to Lynden in Fife and have forwarded to me. If you have questions, you can talk to the ANC Lynden folks.

Good luck!

The transmission flash was done but I can not see anything labeled TSB This is what is showing:

B Perform RRT
Cause: F
99 Recalls
99642 WD4
FC: Part#: Count: N/C

Parts:8649 Flash Trans completed
Claim Type: W

The hesitation when shifting between D and R or R and D is gone. Shifting tween 1-2-3 seems quicker and take off from a start has improved without stomping on the gas.

Had to come back on Friday that week for the oil pan leaking. Form says I told them it was, but I had no clue it was. Seems the tech found it.
Took about five hours. Skid plates, exhaust system and a crossmember of some sort and heaven knows what else had to be dropped. They also re did the oil and filter. There is apparently and upper and lower pan gasket and they were replaced. They list an RTV Sealant Grey used under parts.
There is a listing of 8745 shown as well. I suspect the #99642 shown for both events "might" identify the tech that did the work but do not know.

I know Dean said something about a leak that he spotted and they cleaned off and now it is back. May or may not be the same issue.

I was very satisfied with the treatment at Lithia SA. Would have loved to go in the back and stood to the side and watched, but good luck with that. Work was finished in time frame stated and there was no charge for anything. (lifetime dino oil change).

In case you missed below, the engine is the 3.2L V6

Hope all this rambling helps some of you folks.

FYI I had the oil change done when the system told me to (5% life left) at 8649 miles and about 8 months.
