Loch Lomond last weekend

I took the Trailhawk out last weekend to break it in offroad. My fiance and I met up with WyoKid and we headed up to Loch Lomond lake. It was nice and rough, but nothing serious. Kept it in auto mode the whole time and it just rolled up the trail without issues. Quite bumpy though. My dog kept trying to stand up and kept falling down. I think he enjoyed himself though, especially playing in the (freezing cold) lake at the end.

When we got to the top there were a bunch of Jeep corporate guys in Wranglers taking pictures for some Jeep ad. They took a bunch of pictures of our 2 black Trailhawks when they saw us. Here are a couple pictures I took while out there. I'm sure WyoKid has a couple to share as well.

Thanks. All taken with Galaxy Note 3. It takes some pretty solid pics for a smartphone. There were rocks everywhere, but it was a fun drive to the top. The views were definitely worth it. Gotta love Colorado high country. I'm still amazed at how well this thing drives on the road but can still get me to places like this. So far I'm very happy with my new purchase.

I ran this trail over the weekend. Easy for the most part with absolutely amazing views. There is also a hiking trail if you follow the **** around the lake that will take you up to James Peak at 13,300 feet. I would say this is a must do for anyone out in the CO area. Oh and I hear the fishing is amazing, so if you are into that kind of thing, its just that more of an amazing destination.

Nice. Glad you found that one. It really was very easy with nothing to worry about damaging anything, just a bumpy ride. It's a great trail for anyone looking to do some basic off-road and get some great views in the process. I did not find the hiking trail when I was up there. I need to look harder next time.

Adventure may hurt you, but monotony will kill you.
