Poison Spider, Hells Revenge?

A few friends are headed to Moab in a few weeks (NOT Easter weekend) to ride Poison Spider and Hells Revenge. They will be on side by sides, but said I could take my TH.

Has anyone (here) taken their TH on either of these trails? Would I be ok or would I be nuts?

I have off-road experience, but not slick rock in the Jeep.

Any advice?

Try this video, looks like it would be fun.

Music is corny but it highlights the Trailhawk pretty well
Enjoy

Besides the skid plates have you installed other protection like rock rails?

You'd tear up the factory rocker panels real quick.

Yes, you would be nuts to take your TH on Poison Spider. :-) There have been other posts about it if you want to search.

For Hells Revenge, watch the video someone else posted.

Fins and Things could be a good one to try with lots of slickrock. A few here have done that.

Go to traildamage.com and search around the Moab area. Trails rated 4 or less would be what I would consider...

RRO is next on my list, so I wasn't real concerned if I scratch the factory ones up a little. I may be able to get them here and installed before I go.

I thought that article was interesting and I was surprised a little about the damage to the OEM rockers.

Thanks for the advise, I was a little concerned about Poison Spider. Maybe I'll go do Fins and Things while they do Poison Spider. Thanks for the link Monkeyboy, there are several marked in there only a short distance from home that I didn't know about.

The video monkeyboy posted, sold me on the trailhawk in terms of off-road worthyness, I was on the fence about getting another Jeep or the new Tacoma TRD 4wd. It came down to price in the end after I saw that video and Jeep just gave me a better deal when I traded in my 2011 Liberty. I had no issues with the liberty as well so I felt confident about the brand an from the forums, the transmission woes on the first and second Gens had been fixed.

I've had my TH down to Moab multiple times. I would agree with much of the above. Poison Spider Mesa has received a lot of pressure and hence erosion over the years and is very rough. The entry switchbacks are difficult and very rough. If you are lucky, you might make it to the "waterfall" obstacle, but that may be it.
H's Revenge is doable if you do the go arounds and miss the named obstacles. Its called the "Tip Toe" route.
Fins and Things is very doable in the TH. I've done these last two. Tried Poison, its a no go. Tried Top of the World. Its also a no go in a TH.
