It's all good, we all have OPINIONS. I assumed RRO made the only complete replacement. And as usual, the RRO stuff is at least half the price. (also comparing RRO Sliders to Mopar)

No need for a ladder if you have RRO rock rails. I do like the looks of the rack but a lil $$. I think in another year or so we will have more and more options of aftermarket products for our KL's. And prices should drop with more competition.

How do they get the 600lb static load capacity from the same 4 mounting points as the OEM or RRO rails/adventure rack? They didn't reinforce the roof, correct? If it's just the rack I don't know how they can get that number.

I understand the OEM rail limits as they are pretty flimsy. I'm guessing that RRO just uses the same limit number to cover their ass but jumping from 150 to 600 seems like a lot.

Edit> I guess the better number to compare to is the 300 lb driving load but that is still a big leap.

Was thinking about this and remember something about the Tesla breaking the IIHS roof crushing machine (don't know it's technical name) so I looked up the Cherokee. 20,000+ lbs, but don't put that all the roof at once.

The roof can support more than 150lbs. It has to in order to not fail in a roll over. More than 150lbs up that high will raise the center of gravity of the vehicle making it much more prone to roll over.

Here is my answer to not having a ladder!

Amazon Amazon

Works awesome, pretty cheap and you can use it on any wheel.

I saw a rack & cross bar combo.... I think it was Rage Motorsports.... and if you bought the rack and cross bar combo, they gave you a step similar to this!

What do you guys thunk?
I think that looks awesome but $1500 for a roof rack is way too steep.
