Off topic, but since most of you AZ jeepers should be able to comment...

Mrs. BurtonRW and I made our first trip to AZ last year. Mainly for the GC, but also to spend a few days in Sedona (which we identified as one of the best places for lots of great hiking). Interestingly, we loved the GC, but enjoyed Sedona more.

Anyway... we hiked Broken Arrow, and while we were standing there at Chicken Point, a Chevy Astro drove up. Right there next to three or four Wranglers of various flavors was a freaking Chevy Astro van.

On our way back down, we had the opportunity to observe him on his decent. He had his female companion hopping out to spot for him and it was clear that this was not their first time offroading in the Astro. I was floored.

So - did I really need to buy my Trailhawk, or could I have just gotten an old Chevy Astro instead?

Thoughts/Comments?

Stock Astro Van, 2wd... on Broken Arrow?

That's hard to believe, but I guess not impossible. The steps here are tough.
It's a loop trail, and you can go around the loop the wrong way and avoid the steps, but the Jeep Tour companies will not be pleasant if you run into them going backwards.... there's not many places to pass or turn around.
