I'm sure you can do this if you own your land or stay on public land...not sure how they could tell you no on the matter.

On another note, lets get a Redbird trip on the schedule! Thoughts on dates for people? I think the months of June or July would be best for me. Need to use up my PTO before end of July.

I am not able to through May. My Master's program starts the first week of June, so once I get a feel for how that goes I'll be able to see about a FRI-SAT-SUN trip. I wonder how busy it is over July 4th weekend?

I am going away in April for a FRI-SAT-SUN to the NP around Lakewood, WI. That is 14-16 th.

July 4th would probably be packed. I'd say that mid-late July would be best given that June is usually still pretty muddy from the spring. Letting it dry out will make it more fun and less lost time getting stuck.

I am plotting out some forest roads and remote camping sites in Chequamegon-Nicolet NF. I am looking at the Lakewood-Laona area. It is only a couple hours north of me. I have been printing off maps from the FS Website. I'm looking at heading up there April 14-16. The gf and I like to camp, let our dogs run around and relax. Neither of us drink, we just enjoy the woods.

Let me know if this sounds at all interesting to you.
FYI, I currently have 9 Jeeps from Wisconsin Jeep Owners Group on FB. I posted up an event there last night. So if anyone wants to represent with me...they are all Wranglers haha.

Mudman, I'm in for a weekend. Let me know what the details are. Not super interested in getting stuck/dying horrible death from destructive rollover but would love to attend a gathering with some light offroading (forest service roads etc. I know the Northwoods area around Hayward/Spooner pretty well. LMK what's going on and I'll be there....
