Just picked up my Bright White Trailhawk this last Saturday and I live in Gurnee (by Six Flags), so yeah just south of the Cheddar Curtain.

I miss that area.
But I did buy my Cherokee up in Libertyville (my prior dealer).
Loved the Fox Chain of Lakes for fishing and boating.
The Mississippi is not that much fun unless you like big Catfish.
Kind of regret moving downstate but it is quiet here.

Property Taxes should be a lot cheaper downstate not to mention it should be safer... but yeah lots to do up here. Could always take a trip and camp at the state park?.?

Have family we can visit and then do things we miss.
Property taxes are lower! R/E Tax rates stay under control only because the people will remove offenders from office and there are half the government units that I had in Lake County. Safe is not a problem. Everyone has guns and with conceal carry here I sure there will be a lot of people packing down here.

Would like to go to Yogi Jelly Stone park in Fremont, Wi. this year.
Be a good tow for the Cherokee with the boat. They had some great lakeside campsites and use to tow up there 2 of 3 times a year. It was always a good time fishing between the lakes and river.

LOL won't start on the guns, but amazing what they can do when in the right hands.

Yogi Jelly Stone is nice but really $$$ for a campground, but they do keep it really nice and clean... I just can't convince myself to pay that kind of cash to camp. I grew up in state park campgrounds in MO and out west where it's free and open!

Yes they are $$$. But the lake front campsites and docks are great. Have to keep the wife happy with some civilazation! MO does have nice parks.
Guns! I have no use for them. Don't want the liability for them. Neighbor will take me to the range when I want with his guns. Other than that I'd rather spend an afternoon fishing than shooting.
