Thanks for your responses. I have no dealer loyalty having bought a Mini Cooper S hardtop for my wife in 2012. I have spoken with a Safford, Koon's, and Ourisman. Ourisman has the lowest rating, but they have tried the hardest to sell me a vehicle, matching and beating price after price. I found Koon's' staff to be the most competant and professional. Safford gave me their price (highest of all 3) and wouldn't budge. Ourisman has won my sale and will place the order on Thursday.

Can't wait!

Van Blank: Go for the Cherokee if it suits your needs.

I spent a lot (by my wallet) on the Trail Hawk, but, I really have had NO buyers remorse ever.

Bonafides as a jeep judge: I started with my first Jeep in 1964 when I purchased a 1953 Willy's CJ3A that I drove through 1970 when I was drafted. Drove Jeeps in the military from 1970 to when they were displaced by non-jeeps in the Army (Retired in 1993). In 1975 I bought an AMC CJ-7 with the V8. Drove it from San Francisco to the Panama Canal in 1976. Brought it back with me in 1980 (by military shipment this time). Jeep and Jeep and Jeep. I have a 96 GC limited that I have had since 98 and it still runs fine.

The point of all this is that I consider the Trail Hawk to be a real Jeep. A little different than my others, but high tech and VERY cool.

ramblings of an old guy.

thanks rch

Bought my first TH 2.4 from the dealer on Rt 1 in Woodbridge (and bought a Latitude for my daughter too)... I actually traded it in for a V6 TH at the dealer by Fairfax Circle. They gave me a better deal than the Rt 1 dealer would for my tradein. Ended up taking a 2k hit which wasn't that bad. PLUS they prepped the car better (turned off nags, etc).

Jealous! But I was impulsive after less than 24 hours of them hitting the showroom floor in the area. I beat them up pretty well on the trade in though. So I won't complain too much. Besides I think I was the first person on the forum to take delivery of it. I'll call it a win :-)
