hes staying away from the front issue as front spacers arent really required but if you dont use you take the chance of slippage. downward...a half inch isnt gong to make a difference either way .. maybe for only very small increase in tire height ..10.5 or 11 inches total of clearance isnt going to matter in the field..where the correct lines will make up for a half an inch.. but i prefer the extra money in my pocket. where it belongs.....
I just find it really hard to see any circumstance where it would slip any more than stock height... you aren't pulling it out of the collar that much.
