Step 1 – Close all the doors
Leave the key in the ignition switch in any position except the "on" one. Now, buckle the driver’s seat belt.
Step 2 – Turn the ignition switch on
After turning the ignition switch on, wait for the seat belt warning light to turn off.
Step 3 – Buckle and un-buckle
Buckle and un-buckle the seat belt three times. This must be done within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, and the buckling-unbuckling three times must be done within a span of 10 seconds, ending with the belt buckled.
Step 4 – Turn the engine off
A single chime will go off. This signifies you have successfully reprogrammed the seat belt alarm.
Yes the alarm goes away but it still pops up on the dash.
