I was excited to get CarPlay with the Compass Trailhawk I picked up yesterday. The excitement dropped a little when I figured out your phone had to to be plugged in. Next disappointment is the fact that it appears I can't search an Artist via Music. You have to use stuff downloaded to your phone or the "canned" options. Sorry about the thread jack.....

To the OP. The SD card is a good, unobtrusive solution.
