I purchased an slightly used aFe CAI from a Member here on the forum. What I have noticed is that any hesitation from a stop has been completely eliminated. I can feel the front tires slip on takeoff from a standstill, something I never felt before, without even trying to spin them. This aFe replaces the silencing box on the factory intake, which disrupts the air flow to the throttle body; so there is a noticeable sound (I can hear it above the radio) increase, depending on how much gas I give it from a stop. The sound is pleasing: deep, throaty growl. I have not seen any MPG increase; throttle control improved 100%. If the filter is white, it does not need to be oiled. I purchased the cleaning kit from aFe and cleaned the filter before I installed it. Real easy to clean. Spray cleaner on the outside, and let it sit. Then flush it with water from the inside, and let it dry. The aFe uses the bottom of the factory filter box, so it becomes a ram air directly to the filter. Since the front tires will slip now, there is probably a small HP increase.
