Potential oil leak or sloppy tech?

Two week old TH. Looked under skid plate today and saw this on some piping wrapped around what I assume are the exhaust headers. Think I should take it in or just someone spilled a bit of oil a while ago?

I'd recommend doing this procedure. Doing so, you will KNOW and not just leave it up to the dealership or shop to give THEIR opinion....

Yea I'll see if I can't put a rag on the end of a stick and wipe it off. Unfortunately it's behind the skid plate so no easy access.

I have had the oil pan(s0 there are two, gaskets replaced once qt the dealer for a leak the tech found when servicing my TH. This time, he found it did nt cure the leak. Not a large leak but a leak non the less. They are ordering the oil pans ( 2 part) and will replace whats on there when they get in.

Agree with wiping and checking later on, based on what my wrench found. Apparently there is some history of leaks on the 3.2L. It is pretty involved in changing/replacing, since skids, exhaust system and a crossmember of some sort need to be dropped.

Let your service advisor know, in case the wrench does not spot it.

Or do what ever you please, your call.

Take it back to the dealer and have them check it pronto.
Many times its a loose or not tightened to specs connection on a weeks old vehicle.
Your top mounted oil filter does have an o ring that needs to go on correctly.
Keep an eye on the oil level as under pressure it will come out faster.
Good luck

Took it to the dealer today. They looked at it and said it was just anti-corrosion/rust coating/jelly that had melted because it wasn't cleaned off completely on the outside of something under the engine but that it was perfectly fine. They checked the engine oil and said it was still right at factory fill level by eyeball so there wasn't an active leak.

*shrug*
