Clicking while accelerating from 5mph to 40mph ish.

14 Cherokee, getting an odd clicking noise while accelerating at low speeds. Seems to be coming from driver side. Can only hear when window down. Anyone have this issue? Anyone have a fix? I have 30k and its been doing it since 25k but the dealer "couldnt hear it". Now that its warming up I think they will hear it with the windows down. They checked in winter so i am assuming they had the windows up.

Might be a loose nut or stud, whatever you have on. That's the first thing I would check.

Hi Thedurden01,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to revisit your local dealership I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.

i have very annoying front end drivers side clicking while accelerating. its definitely not the engine. cause engine sounds clear when putting on gas while standing. i went to dealership and they replaced the front axle on the drivers side. i told them that its not solving that and i was right. same rattling noise. i am super annoyed.
the dealership was taking care of the squeaking noise from the rear differential - replaced the seal, and other stuff. do not recall what exactly but still same squeaking sound from the back. ahtzzz

like its in between the dashboard and further inside...

Yea, def different noises. Mine is clicking from the front driver side hub area, possibly pass side as well. I think axle, maybe hub. Idk.

So at 30k they had to replace my driver front axle. Noise gone, the vibration under higher speed braking now gone as well. I swear, they have basically build me a new jeep with all the parts they are replacing lol

in my case - the serveice advisor was sure that it was an axle and they replaced it but as i was sure it was not the case. the rattle is there.
