override stop/start

Count me as one who is annoyed with the stop/start and more annoyed it cannot be permanently turned off (as far as I know). Forgive me if this is the wrong thread, or if I missed a previous thread on the topic, but what about modifying the off switch (wiring) on the dash to always be engaged? Without yet pulling the dash apart to see the harness and that specific circuit, there has got to be a way to send a permanent signal to the engine that the button has been pressed. Either loop the circuit to itself, ground it, whatever. Just sort of spit-balling here.

Anyone else attempted this?

If you know your way around circuit boards, there is a *fix* that has already been done. See next link : Auto Start-Stop ESS Invert Modification

I've rig up the seat belt with a switch that thinks its not connected. Drive with seat belt on and the BCM thinks it disconnected. I deactivated the chime , the dash does have the light for connect belt on.

Ditto. Push the ESS button, select a gear, push the emergency brake button. It's all automatic now.
