Oil Pressure Sensor Replaced

just a FYI note - check engine light came on at around 38k miles. Back to dealer who replaced the oil pressure sensor. Not covered under powertrain warranty. Now that it's out of warranty, I worry about all these electronic gadgets starting to fail. Anyone else experienced this?

Mine failed at 18900 miles. Build date Jan 2014. V6 engine.
Had to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds to get to the sensor. Replaced manifold gaskets.
My sensor did not leak, just set code P0520.
The new sensor is the same part number as the one that failed so that isn't very encouraging.
Refer to TSB 18-034-14 Rev A for more info.
Haven't had any more problems with the new sensor.
Guess FCA just buys from the lowest bidder.

Some Dealers will choose to replace the Oil Cooler on early builds. That would be covered under powertrain.
