Is V-6 governed at 4K RPM?

I have a 2016 Trailhawk and when I just noticed that when I put the engine into neutral I cannot rev it past 4,000 RPMs. Is that normal even though the TAC redlines much higher?

That's normal. Same happens with the 4 cylinder. Unless someone has a manual transmission the revs are limited in park and neutral. I find it handy actually because when winching someone I just floor it so the alternator is charging at full power to run the winch.

When I rented a Chrysler 200, it did the same thing. 4k max in neutral and park.

My 2015 SRT392 Charger did the same thing. "At Fiat Chrysler, we are doing our part to stop senseless engine revving."

And... If you have Remote Start and start it via that method, don't rev the engine before pressing the Start/Stop button. ;)
