How to use 9th gear

Putting the TH into Snow mode then pushing the 4x4 button, the vehicle easily made it up to the 9th gear.... And I was even under 40mph... So maybe that is the only time we'll ever see it being used....

Just curious, how do you know what gear you are in? I don't mean to come off as a smart a** lol, I don't have my Cherokee yet so I'm just curious if there's a setting for it to show on the EVIC. I'm assuming if you have the manual shift button it will show you like it does in my previous car, but only while manual shifting is engaged.

Black Cherokee Sport 4x4 i4
Current Mileage: 56,000km
Ordered February 11th 2014 - Picked up May 2nd 2014
Unresolved transmission clunk 2nd to 3rd.

Just briefly move the shift to the left (+/-), and the letter "D" in the EVIC will turn into a speed # you are currently in.

Were you in " D " before you slapped it over and if so did it show up as 9th from "D" or did you just move it down to 9th. If you just put it into 9th you weren't really in 9th. I have seen 9th a few times on the interstate where I am, just need to get 80+mph and 9th comes up and drops rpm's to 1500.

I didn't move it to 9, it was on it when I slapped over, also I could count the 8 shifts into 9th as my car shifts hard....

Out of curiosity, what were your rpm's @40 in 9th?

I'd be guessing, but I would say less than 2500rpm
