got my KL back ! now 1-4 gears are very smooth. This is what they did:

18190602 Module, Powertrain Control (PCM)-Reprogram (1-Semi-skilled)
08190596 Adaptation Drive Lear-Determining shift quality subjective measurement and learn-B,C and D clutches

Is that the famous update or something different?

That would be the update.

Got my Latitude done this morning along with an oil change. Car was in the shop for an hour and 45 minutes. I thought the transmission was pretty smooth before the update but I can feel a significant improvement now. TCM flash was most definitely worth the wait and I recommend those eligible to have it done.

Great info! Thank you for posting EAK! This is where we find out how qualified our Dealer Techs are. There is probably a learning curve for them too, not just the Transmission.

Just got a call from the dealer saying that my TH built 3/14 WAS NOT ELIGIBLE for the TSB update and that everything checked out and has the latest update. Looks like I have a fight on my hands when I pick it up later. ROUND 1.

This is my first experience with this dealer and it doesn't seem to be starting off on the right foot.

If you're having trouble with them, just take your TH to another dealer that might actually know what they're doing!

I have no problem doing that. Let's see where we're at AFTER I pick it up later.

Just picked up my new Cherokee Latitude the other day. I was reading the forums about this update and mentioned it to the dealer as I was driving off with the car. He said the car has the latest updates and to not worry about what was written online.

Seems fishy. Is there a way to check to see if they actually preformed this update?
