The top 12 RV pullers on the forums

I have been digging through the "Show up what you tow" I have selected the largest 12 rvs pulled be Cherokees ( of the 12, 10 where TH one Limited and one unknown). All agree that a large frontal area kills milage but all say that they tow well. the selection all had V6 and the tow package. I did not include any boats or utility trailers or teardrops and popups in this. (that will be for another thread. I will list them by length and empty weight.

If I get a spec wrong please let me know and I will correct it. Researching some of these was not easy.

At number 1, at 23' Calgary Trailhawk with a Rockwood Lite 2306, 3890 lbs empty he has a loaded tongue weight with 512 lbs at a max trailer weight of 5316 lbs. He is also in a three way tie in with and frontal area at 96" wide. from the looks of it it is never empty. I bet you have to check your weight and balance each time you hit the road with that.

At number 2 at 21' Ampmtnbkr2 and his Minnie 2101 FBS at 3840 empty has a max tongue weight approx 700 lbs, though that weight is at the trailers max loaded weight of 7,000 lbs. I bet he never loads it that much. It must be mention it matches his Trailhawk very well. Winnebago sets a high max weight on their trailer I wonder what they think you are going to put in ti.

At number 4, at 20' Rat4spd with a Rockwood mini Lite 1909s 3510 lbs empty he has a tongue weight of 462 lbs that is at the max trailer weight of 3962 lbs He is also in a three way tie in with and frontal area at 96" wide. I am guessing that the dual axle is the culprit for the heavier than 10% max vehicle tongue weight. Very similar to ArcticLyn's. I did not find what kind of Cherokee that Rat has he was my one unknown

At number 5, at 20' StringPoet with a Vision 19RB 3650 lbs empty he has a tongue weight of 350 lbs that is at the max trailer weight of 5200 lbs other that the air stream this looks to be one of the more streamlined trailers. He is also the only one using a Limited Cherokee not a trailhawk

At #6/7 at 19' Pondhopper (me) and Len1304 both have the same model Jayco Jay Flight SLX 195RB at 2945 lbs empty we have a max tongue weight of 260 lbs at the max trailer weight of 3500. The only difference in our models is that I have the Baja edition that flips the axle adds diamond plate at the bottom edge and covers the entire bottom.

At #8 at 16' jt1911man with his beautiful Airstream Sport 16' at 2860 lbs with a max tongue weight of 350 lbs at a max trailer weight of 3500 lbs. Never has polished aluminum looked better. It also sounds like he gets the best MPG while towing it in this line up.

At #10 ottawa jeeper Coyote 16c at 16' and an empty weight of 2780 and a tongue weight of unknown. Actually this was one of the hardest trailers to research found Youtubes of it but the specs are nowhere to be found. Still a nice trailer.
