New tow hitch installed on 2015 TH.

I took the plunge and I had the dealership install the tow hitch on my TH last Friday. They did a really great job. It looks like a professional job and extremely nice. It took just over 4 hours.

If anyone is interested, the receiver is the 2 inch and the hitch pin is 5/8 inch.

I know I'm limited to the 2000 lb towing limit. That will work, for the small U-Haul trailer we will need in March for our trip to AZ.

The before/after pics are included for anyone interested, with one of the undercarriage while my TH was on the lift. They let me have a short look-around with it in the air.

They did a nice Job as it looks great. With the Trail Hawk you have most of the tow required equipment like extra cooling on board at this point.
Have fun........

I plan to. Looking forward to the trip to AZ and maybe hitting some back roads in the area.

Looks great. Can I ask what dealership you used? I am in McHenry County and see that you are in Lake County and seeing that you had no issues I would feel comfortable going to the same place you did. Maybe even roughly what you paid?

Thanks!!

I ordered the hitch and put it on myself. Easy. I haven't done the wiring yet. I'll probably have the dealer do that this spring.

I'm thinking about doing that too.

Just not totally clear on what to order. Is it just the two parts: The wiring kit (82213938AF) and the hitch kit (982213349AC) or are there other items needed? I think non-TH's need a bezel, but I guess for the TH it's not needed?

I thought I read somewhere that for the wiring to actually work the dealer has to flash the car? Can anyone confirm that?
