.... The nice thing is the battery pin is switched; meaning it is live only when the ignition is on. Don't have to worry about the camper battery being drawn down into the vehicle's battery when the ignition is turned off.

Saw another post where @Len1304
stated, "I can confirm the charge line is hot at all times." So I went out with a voltmeter to check and he is correct. This is on a 2015 North American factory installed Trailer Tow Group. The brake lights also work with the ignition off (e.g. the emergency flashers work through to the trailer lights when the ignition is off).
