Mopar Hitch Wiring Install Write-up?

Thought I'd ask if anyone has or has seen a write-up for the installation of the Trailhawk hitch wiring harness, Mopar part 82213938AC? It came with drawing-style directions, like the hitch itself, but they leave a lot to be desired. And as with the hitch install, I was hoping there may be some shortcuts for reality vs the instructions.

If it is similar to the one I installed in my Nitro, there 3 sets of wires that run to the engine compartment: a black and red that hook to the battery terminals; a red one that goes inside and terminates (it is for an electronic brake controller, and a set that goes to the fuse box to take advantage of the trailer anti-sway electronics built into the Jeep.

This is a copy of the install guide. http://site.justforjeeps.com/guide/82213938AB.pdf

According to it, there is nothing that goes to the engine compartment. That doesn't match what I've seen from others on this site that had the dealer install a wiring harness that included, similar to yours, a wire with an inline fuse that connected directly to the battery. I have not yet looked at the harness to verify the type of connector it has. I only opened the box long enough to get the 4/7 pin plug to fill the hole in the hitch after I installed it.

I hate these instruction sheets. I think they are drawn for people who can't read. It appears that in Step 16, that is the trailer HD signal light relay. A wire does run to the fuse box, but not to the battery. In step 27, the trailer wire "A" inserts into the empty slot of the gray connector in the fuse box, and in Step 28 that little piece is inserted to snap the wire "A" in place; to keep it from falling out. Also, it appears that there is another wire that you tie in place when you hook the other one to the fuse box. This should be for an electronic trailer brake controller. So, it appears that hooking it in to the fuse box will activate the anti sway electronics for the trailer.

I believe that once you have this installed, your Dealer will have to add the hitch to your build sheet and activate the lights. (if they don't work once you have them hooked up!)
