Eibach lift kit

Has anyone tried, or is tempted to try the Eibach Pro Lift Kit for the KL?! It's a real thing that's out there, here's a link from amazon.co.uk
Amazon Amazon

It apparently gives a 1" (30mm) lift to the front and rear - I believe it's for the non-Trailhawks. I know of a few us in North America that are interested, but no-one's pulled the trigger because we can't find out if they would fit the US-spec models, or just the Euro-spec models...not sure what the difference would be in terms of springs.

Anyways, just wondering. The Kit# from Eibach is E30-28-016-01-22

From the ad:

"Eibach PRO-KIT’s are the number one choice for car enthusiasts worldwide, here’s why;
  • Improves stability & handling by lowering the cars centre of gravity
  • Gives your car a more aggressive stance
  • Increases braking traction resulting in shorter braking distances
  • Lowers by up to 40mm (1.5”)
  • Progressive spring design delivers excellent ride quality
  • Can be used with the OE or aftermarket shocks
The Eibach Pro-Kit is the perfect answer for most popular street cars."

Although there is one place the ad says "raises or lowers by 30mm" I think the Eibach kits are generally for lowering sports cars.

Oh, and too bad the seller doesn't ship to the States...or you could be the guinea pig

Yeah, it's definitely a lift kit. The specs for that specific kit is +30mm, not -30. From what I gather it takes Ad1 and raises it to Ad2 height. There's been chatter about it before on here, but the new news is that it's actually out there now on places like Amazon etc. whereas before it was just a cryptic buried page deep on the main site.
And I'm sure I could get one through Amazon UK (I have relatives there) but don't have the $$ to be a guinea pig right now!

In the description for the product:
  • Lowering or Lifting Front/Rear: +30/+30 mm
  • Front Axle Load:1275
  • Rear Axle Load: 1275
  • Product Type: Pro Lift Kit

True - it's better news for us AD1'ers than you AD2'ers Pretty reasonable price though.

Not too much but it can help on snow condition to be sure you don't hit the Carter with some rocks on road impossible to see by the snow or some soft off road.

Hope one day we can get some more options and some underbody protections for AD1 diesel.
