Anyone Out There in England?

I saw this thread was rather devoid of posts. Who knew there were so few 2014 Cherokee drivers in England? Probably helps that mine was shipped from the states.

Anyway, if you're in the Cambridge/Lakenheath/Mildenhall area or driving along the A14 and see a Black Cherokee Trailhawk LHD then it's probably me. I have seen a couple of other Cherokees on base (there were two regular Cherokees in the shop when I got my light conversion done), so I know I'm not the only one. Where are all you guys at in England?

Hi scubavader

Just picked up a White Cherokee Longitude Plus for the wife, it replaces a Mini Paceman and is stablemates with a Toyota Gt86, we are up in the Manchester area and have only seen 2 others in the local area to date, then again they only came out over here in July didn't they?

So far we are very happy with it, the fuel economy is great the ride good and practicality a lot better than the mini especially now we have put the roof bars n bike racks on.
It also reminds us of all the good hire cars we have had in the USA over the last 8 years we have been visiting.

For you "limeys" - here is an offer of a free Cherokee for a week:

Ever watched Top Gear and thought “I could do that?” Jeep is offering you the chance to prove it.

The iconic American manufacturer is offering motoring enthusiasts the chance to form part of its first ever Jeep Cherokee consumer panel, taking to the road and giving feedback on the brand new 4x4.

As part of a nationwide search for people to test drive and review the all new Cherokee, Jeep is looking for ten lucky people to join the panel.

Each panel member will be given a Jeep Cherokee for a week to put it through its paces and submit an honest review.

Damien Dally, head of brand for Jeep, said: “The launch of the new Jeep Cherokee is an extremely exciting time for us.

“This is a great opportunity for motoring fans to put the Jeep Cherokee to the test, get to grips with what is has to offer and tell us what they really think of it. We have no doubt that they will be just as impressed with it as we are.”

Budding Jeremy Clarksons should visit www.jeep.co.uk/testdrive and say why they should be selected as a panellist.

Bumblebee,
I've been very happy with my Cherokee so far. The only complaint I have (and I knew this going into having the Trailhawk) is the gas mileage isn't great (20 on the low end...26 or so on the motorways). I've put about 5400 miles on it since I've had it (drove down to Cornwall from Cambridge and probably drive about 50 miles a day). The Jeep was big in Cornwall. Also, I'm driving a left hand drive version here, so that can be interesting looking around corners and passing. I've been driving on English roads for over 3 years now and it was very sporty in Cornwall.

Near the base where I work, I was the one of two 2014 Cherokees on base for a while. I was the only Trailhawk for a while. The dealer on base actually ordered the model with all my options to put on display. I believe the dealer was raffling that one off and a gate guard asked if I won the vehicle they had in the Base Exchange. A guy from my unit actually started his order before I did, but I ended up getting mine first as he waited a couple of months to actually pull the trigger on his order. I picked his Trailhawk (mine is black, his is grey) last Tuesday. So now, we have two Trailhawks in my car park.

Longitude Plus, heh? I think they call that one the Latitude in the states, plus the Diesel isn't as popular in the states.

I'm from the UK
Just took delivery of Cherokee Limited at start of December. Have to say I'm loving it. This has replaced a Toyota RAV4 2.2 Diesel. Although the mpg figures of the Jeep are similar to the RAV I'm only getting about 33mpg compared to about 38mpg of the RAV but its early days yet. Just wish they had put the heated steering wheel on the limited though. But there's plenty of tech to play with.

Still only seen two other Cherokees on the road
