Do you have some kind of death wish? My wife and I are here today because of seat belts and I have several dead friends and a couple of disabled ones because of no seatbelts.

Because I ALWAYS put mine on, without any need for reminders, and the chime in the KL is way too loud and annoying. I don't want to hear that sound for any reason ever again -- especially the times it seems to go off at random just to let me know it can. HPH

When does it go off? I've never heard mine?

We just don't like them, In our 40 years of driving I don't think we've ever worn a belt, even in our old cars which only had lap belts. My wifes 40 year 2 pack a day smoking habit will probably take her down before an accident will.

Maybe one of the strangest posts ever, but I understand. Not sure if I should laugh or feel very sorry. I do have friends who are religious about NOT wearing a seat belt, and that's their choice. I just have a habit that I have to drive a few hundred yards before I CLICK. That's why I'm happy to now have the extender. Takes the noise away but I for one always after those couple of hundred yards BUCKLE UP!!!
This thread is IMHO is all over the map so to speak...

I wouldn't drive without my seatbelt and I wear a helmet on my road bike AND skiing. Not because I don't trust myself, but because I don't trust anyone else.

BUT It's my choice and it's yours. IMHO you can do whatever you please as long as it doesn't affect me.

I always wear my seatbelt but like to unbuckle when I get to my driveway and don't want to hear chime every time I do.

I am the same as @JeepKL I unbuckle my seatbelt when I pull into my driveway to disable the ESS when I pull into my garage. Does the procedure stop the chime that happens when you unbuckle a little early?
