My nephew is the sales manager for our dealer and has confirmed with the service manager and FCA rep that there is a Star Case on the issue and that the front axles are being redesigned. Bad news is the newly designed axles won't be available for dealers to order until Q3 (2015). They are telling people to call back in the October timeframe to see if the redesigned axles are available yet. Some people have noticed a difference in the shaking with the R01 recall, but they just reprogrammed the first through third gear timing in order to make the issue less noticeable. It's not a transmission issue.
Are the current replacement axles similar or different than the ones going around now? Don't know if I should go in now and ask for the axles others have been getting or wait for this. Advice?

They definitely don't all have the wobble. I have a 3/14 build and it's never had the wobble, just a couple of crap trannys.

1st trans replacement - June 2014 - 4,400 mi.

I noticed the wobble more often after about 1500 miles. I have 4400 miles on it now and it seems to be occurring more regularly of late. Of course when I took it to the dealer at around 3000 miles they couldn't recognize the problem. I have held off bringing it back in again in the hope that a TSB will be issued. People here are saying they are being told that the redesign axles will not be available until the 3rd quarter of this year. I assume the 2016 model will have the new design and the part supplier will have the tooling and production set up so Jeep can get replacement axles to the 2014/15 people who want them at a lower cost to Jeep. All speculation on my part.

i'm in a very similar situation -- noticed a wobble at ~1500mi, currently have just under 5000 and the wobble is now very apparent in first and second gear. (for what it's worth, shifting seems decent otherwise, and I haven't had any other issues with the trans yet.) I'm really hoping new axles fix the issue, but I wonder if they will be an actual fix or just a bandaid. (or won't help at all.)

Looks like the RO5 recall with the PCM reflash has solved the wobble for me. Time will tell if it stays that way but makes me question that new axles are the answer

First off, you need to visit a dealer. Explain the complaint, these repairs will be covered under factory warranty. I wouldn't do any more, I wouldn't ask about any TSB's, I wouldn't even tell them you are an active forum member. Let them handle it

Incorrect, there are many KL's that do not have the wobble

I'm not sure if I have the wobble problem or not.
I've only got 1500 miles on my Cherokee Latitude.
Sometimes when taking off from a stop light I notice some hesitation...and then some vibration of some kind as it appears to struggle going from first gear into second to third.
This rather surprises me because I was thinking that this is a V6...I expected more power on acceleration from a stop light.
At first I assumed this was due in part from the Stop/Start system, as after the engine re-starts it then needs to take off and I assumed it was just a rough kind of take off but it
only happens occasionally, or at least I am trying to convince myself that it only happens occasionally.
I also felt that I was kind of babying the Jeep at first, I have been driving it very gently during it's so called Break-in time period. Yes, I read the Owner's Manual about taking it easy the first 300
miles....I think I took it easy the first 500 or more miles just to be sure. I kind of cried when it went over 1,000 miles in less than a month, but hey, I bought this to drive it.
Then I read about the "adaptive transmission" ...something about how the Cherokee needs to learn how I drive and it will become smoother with time. I hope so.
So, I am not sure if I have the problems I read about here or not.
I like the Stop/Start system because I want to save on gas...and it does not bother me much during the few seconds I wait for the restart. It is different but I am getting used to it.
When I bring it in for it's first oil change at 3,000 miles I plan to mention to them that it has a rough take off sometimes. They will check it out I am sure.

Vehicles differ in the amount of pedal travel required for power, especially now that a computer intercedes. With the Cherokee, I wrote it off as part of the program to improve fuel economy since that's a big priority now. My wife commented on the lack of power off the line until I showed her how to use the gas pedal. We're at 8300 miles now and there is absolutely no hesitation or power issue off the line. This could be due to getting used to pushing the pedal further and faster, or the drivetrain has changed somehow over time.

Don't know about the vibration. That can be caused by a number of things.
