R27 and R40 Recalls
I had the R27 Lift Gate Recall performed today. On the invoice is listed two hours of labor. They pulled the rear inside panel off, checked for water damage, and then installed a water protective shield over the rear latch. There was no charge.
While at it, I had the dealer "check-off" the R40 "Radio Security Vulnerability" Recall. That is the one where the Cherokee is susceptible to electronic hacking. I received a USB in the mail from Jeep months ago and performed this one myself. However, I continued to get emails and letters from Jeep informing me to get this one done. So, the dealer checked it and found it to be update, and (hopefully) I won't be receiving any more emails.
