S55 - Recall, 2014 TH

S55 refers to ; TRANSAXLE RANGE SENSOR WIRE HARNESS.

I received notice of this recall on September 15 but the Dealer can't give me any idea when the fix will be implemented.
Perhaps this recall will explain why it takes some time for my manual gear selection and driving mode to register !

Same here, got the letter last week, but the dealer has no idea on when the parts will be available.

Hopefully by the time of the next service, so I can get it one in a single visit.

I just talked to dealership. I had an appointment for thursday to fix this so I called to see if they had parts available. As of today there is no fix implimented by fiat/chrysler yet. The notes the service guy read me from his end say they are to advise customers to wait for a 2nd recall letter to come in the mail. As of right now they do not have parts or even a procedure / fix in place. So, ... hopefully our cars don't decide to stop working while we're driving on the expressway home from work.

Hmmm... isn't this recall covered in another thread?? I started a new thread over two weeks ago about this and a moderator cancelled it cuz it "was covered a thread elsewhere"?? Must be that "Go Jeep I add? As said... hmmm! I never could find the "first" thread?

There I go being sarcastic again...sorry moderator...not!

Seems fairly important but no parts anywhere... no re-crimping tools????

Go jeep!!!
