If you are entering your VIN on https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls.html TSBs will not show up. TSBs are not externally published by FCA, your local dealership will be best able to identify any TSBs on your vehicle during your next dealership visit!
Just got mine done today after having its first flash ever done in February or March. Just drove a little so wasn't able to do a good compare but it seemed a little smoother. Seemed like it was holding low gears just a tad longer than before which made up-shifts better. Still dropping 3 to 2 on deceleration about 5-6 MPH and 2 to 1 at almost dead stop. Didn't notice some of the bumping I was getting on 2 to 1 when coming to a stop, but again, only drove maybe 10 miles.
Still don't know why the reduced the 2 to 1 down-shift on deceleration. Used to happen at 2MPH and I never had any issue with that. Now it only hits 1 on almost complete stop. Dumb that they did that.
It would be nice if Jeep could finally fix this issue! Ive had all of the TSB's performed as they've come out, but I still have the downshift issue! I have to time crossing roadways so that the car isnt in 3rd gear when I cross - otherwise by the time the rpm's pick up, I'll be caught dead slow in the middle of the lane!
I haven't had the latest TSB performed yet. It came out 2 days after I was at the dealer for an oil change. When I have the time, I'll make an appointment.....
Yes, born 01-10-2015. Yes, the hard shift (more like a clunk) down shifting from 3rd to 1st. With TSB it drops smooth through each gear. The adaptive learning takes several thousand miles. It took a long time for it to realize the bigger tires but eventually I got 7th and 8th gear back.
Really doubt any TSB will restore the 3-2-1 in transmissions with the snap ring problem that were involved in the R01 recall.
Mine allegedly has the bad snap ring and I did receive and had applied the R01 recall which hamstrung the 3-2-1 graceful downshift. Have noticed lately it will downshift from 3-2 when attempting to accelerate from a speed of 1 mph to ~7 mph, however there is still a slight lag followed by a surge that is annoying. It would be better if the downshift occurred immediately when the system detects any throttle pressure. Can only hope a future TSB will speed up the downshift response on acceleration in the 1-7 mph range.
I have R01, and did not lost the 3-2-1 downshift. The R01 I had was Rev C, I waited because I heard about the issue with loosing the 3-2-1downshift until I heard that Rev C had restored it. I had no problem after the R01 Rev. C, and then I had the S55, and now I am experiencing the hard 3-2 downshift!
My 2015 transmission was the worst experience I have ever had with a Jeep Cherokee!!
