I have to admit I am getting frustrated. I just don't understand why they shipped it to a storage yard instead of sending it on to Dallas. I could have walked to Toledo and pushed it home in the time it has been since it was built.

Well look at it this way. At least your's is built. Still in D1 with est ship date moved from 11/2 to 11/11. Hope to get mine before Thanksgiving.

I've been looking at the transportation purgatory that Jeep has put a lot of the Cherokee's in. They have to be loosing money on the transportation costs.

Agreed 100%. I admit that I was more than a little jealous when yours and Cherokeen's shipped out. Especially since my build was completed after yours but before hers. I'm sure this is a logistical Nightmare for Jeep. Cherokees are all over the place... How are they supposed to get all of the ones going to the same destination/dealer together on the same truck when they are in storage in different lots? Did they store them according to destination?

I talked to my dealer rep a few days ago and mine has an estimated ship date of November 8th.

That totally sucks. I bet they are just waiting until they can ship more than one out to you because that saves them money. Not that I'm advocating it. I think they should be pushing as hard as possible to get the ordered ones to the customers, putting that before everything else they do at this point. But that's my guess all the same.

The long distance will make that harder. People who live in Ohio are not going to see the same delays, I bet. But we'll see.

Well i guess they cannot claim funds for a vehicle until it is shipped so I thought they would want as many as possible into the field to help their bottom line which sure cannot be looking too healthy at the moment.

The dealer does not get invoiced until the Vehicle is released to them. So all of those Cherokees sitting in storage are showing on Jeeps bottom line still.

Not true. I live in Ohio and mine has been in storage for a couple weeks. Unless you mean after they are showing as shipped...

Yes, I mean they will take less time to ship.

His is sitting on a train to go to Texas. That will take longer than shipping it from Ohio to Ohio.

Strange update today...well not really an update. Last status was: train arrival, 10/26 on rail car, walbridge yard. Today's status ...train arrival 10/30 on rail car walbridge yard..what they forgot to unload it and its been going in circles lol "big Ben,... parliament". Mr. M our tracking friend said that's what the system reported and its been mixed up lately with all the Cherokees being released

What I want to know is why VOTS even bothered to send me a ship notice if they're just sending it to another storage facility.
