Was just checking this on-line brochure and it mentions a compact spare for the Limited and a full size for the Trailhawk. No mention of either for the Sport or Latitude.

http://www.jeep.com/en/2014/cherokee/brochure.pdf

Just checked and our Latitude came with a compact spare and the storage tray. Checked the window sticker and no mention of the spare included or extra.

Are there Latitude owners that didn't get a spare?

'14 Wrangler Unlimited Anvil (traded '14 Cherokee)
'09 Wrangler Unlimited X, Red
'00 Cherokee Sport, Blue - gone but not forgotten
'90/'91 4dr Montero's - gone but not forgotten

Impulse eliminates planning ... that's a good thing

i think some has no spare. i have a 2013 optima like that. it has a pump and fix a flat thing. would do nothing if tire gets wrecked only for leaks. not many have tires go flat from a small leak since cars have tpms for the past decade plus. i dont like not having a spare.

I like the extra storage space by not having a spare.

I bought a set of wheels and tires for the winter. If I felt the need I could always throw one of the take-off into the storage area to get by in a pinch.

My Limited is coming with a full size spare due to the trailer tow group. One dealer explained it as "Jeep doesn't want you without one when you are towing, that's why the full sized comes with the tow group"

Every Cherokee I looked at had a spare, quite honestly, I really liked the storage compartments that come with the compact spare, but I'll take a full size for when I need it any day....

I just checked the Canadian website and all 4x4 models (from Sport to TH) have the spare (either compact or fullsize) listed in the specs.

The 4x2 models dont.

The compact spare was included in the build of my Cherokee Limited. Sure glad its there. My 2011 Porsche Spyder does not have one and I am always a little concerned on long drives.

I have a Latitude and it came with a spare in a can. First car I've ever owned that didn't have a spare tire. I can't even remember when I last had to use a spare tire though so I think I'll just go without the tire.

For Latitudes the spare is optional. Think it adds $175 for a donut.
