Lower seats...

I'm on the taller side (6'4'') and while the headroom is okay, the visibility is sometimes a little borderline (one of those things you don't notice until you've driven something about 2 weeks). I've adjusted my seat as far down as it does. I don't have power seats, though I wish I did, since those always seem to go a little bit lower.

Has anyone ever heard of having manual seats replaced with power seats? I wonder if there are ways of making the seats lower...

I imagine that this can be done. I am 6'2" with power seats and have the seats as low as they go. I have never noticed an issue with the rear view. I have noticed that the placement of the rearview mirror on the windshield is placed, with my height, at a spot that perfectly blocks out my view of oncoming traffic when stopped at a 4 way stop, etc... I have had to train myself to look around it to check for traffic.....

Power seats won't save you unfortunately

I am 6' 3" and I have the back of my seat (Power seats can be adjusted front and back) as low as it can go and I have about 1-2" of head room and regularly hit my head on heavy bumps (Granted I do have the sun roof which I believe reduces the head room slightly).

That said, I find that adjusting the back of the seat back slightly and leaning back slightly helps quite a lot.

I wish the roof was certainly taller, being able to see red lights can be a real pain when you are the first one in line as it were.

Good luck!

I have the same problem....being 6'5", but I've been able to adjust my visibility issues. I also have the manual seat lowered as much as possible, but I also have the seat back reclined a bit more than I normally would. I'm not talking "gangster lean" reclined, but this lowers my line of sight a bit and if I pull the seat bottom ahead one notch, it's just about perfect. I've always had this problem in any vehicle I've ever owned/driven. The best was my 2011 Liberty.

I would imagine you COULD replace the manual seats with power seats, but I'm sure it would be very expensive. Try the above adjustments and see what you can come up with.
Good luck.

Good suggestions, I guess I'll give reclining the seat a try. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I've been having a hard time finding a comfortable driving position in the Jeep Cherokee. Love everything else about it, but it would be nice to figure something out there.

Being tall has been a nightmare for finding a comfortable vehicle (that isn't one of those dorky box cars)

This may sound nuts. You could always remove the seat and take it to a locale weld shop and have them cut a inch off of each leg, then weld them back together.
