Steering wheel "angle" question.

There is no way a dealer can adjust this, correct?

OK, so the wheel "column" goes up and down and it and out... When I say angle, I'm referring to the top the wheel vs bottom of the wheel. Imagine the lowest and furthest out steering wheel position, now...could the dealer adjust the wheel itself to be a bit closer to a 90 degree angle.

Right now I feel like I'm reaching WAY too far to grab the top, but the bottom is just right. It's my biggest annoyance about a Cherokee.

Did you try moving your seat forward?

Don't think the angle can be adjusted at all, but you are aware that it does telescope as well as up and down adjustments. Between the two, seems like you should be able to find a comfortable position.

I have noticed that the angle is slightly "upward" more than most steering wheels, but not uncomfortable to me by any means.

2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, Bright White 2.4L I4 for me.
2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude, Deep Cherry Red 3.2L V6 for wifey.
2008 Jeep Patriot Sport, Jeep Green for son.

I know just what the OP is asking about and I do too wish the 'angle' of just the wheel could be adjusted. I find it a bit uncomfortable too, not a deal breaker though. I think only early 80's Fords had just the steering wheel pivot. But it did not tilt the column or have the telescoping feature. Was not ideal.

To answer your question: No they cannot adjust that and I have had to get used to it.

For everyone else, what he means by angle is:

The amount of turn between two straight lines that have a common end point (the vertex).

not smartassery (that's not a real word, yet it's SPOT ON)
