1 Headlight Turning On.

We have a 2015 Limited V6. It was sitting in the driveway all locked up. Both key fobs were in the house sitting on the counter. My son calls me outside to tell me that a headlight is on. Not both of them, but the driver's side only. No other lights were on. I got the keys, unlocked the car and started the engine. All running lights turn on as usual. No problem. I made sure the headlight switch was in the auto position. I turned the car off and locked it. All the lights went out. I sat there for about 10 mins and nothing. I went back in the house and put the keys down. 10 minutes later, I my son came back in and said the headlight came back on again. Weird! I have never had problems starting the car. I have never come out and seen this happening. Has anybody ever heard of anything like this?

The post is turning on just like the headlight :)

A trip to the dealer is in order I suspect.

Sorry I wasted your time. I had posted this on a couple different forums, just trying to see if it was happening to any one else. I didnt realize I had already posted here. Really don't want to go to the dealer, cause then they would apply updates that I probably don't want. Again I'm sorry I wased your time. Oh, and thanks for making me feel R E A L welcome here !

Oh come on, almost everyone on this forum likes to goof off with their comments every so often. The last sentence of your statement was not needed. You chose to join this forum to post about an issue. There are alot of resources you could have checked before joining. That being said, good luck getting it fixed.

*steps down from soap box*

If you know someone, and know that they like to mess around, then the comments can be taken in jest. I apologize for being too thin skinned. As for checking other resources, I thought this would be a good one to check with. Wait...... did somebody move the soapbox? :)

I hover around several Jeep forums and yours is the only post I have ever seen with this issue. Unfortunately I still believe it's gping to be a dealer.looksee

If it keeps happening, I guess I will have to make the trip to the dealer. I just want to control what updates they apply to it. They can flash the Uconnect, but I really don't want them messing with the transmission. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I have 6K driving it and another 3K of towing behind the motorhome.

On another note, I was down at the beach over the weekend and although the Cherokee never made it out on the sand, I did put it in 4WD - Low and magically found 9th gear. Wow, it does exist. I wish one of the tweaks they do to the tranny, would be to make 9th gear more accessible.

I have not heard of this one before. I know that at times when I am near the Cherokee, with a key fob in the pocket, the headlights turn on. The other day while at a wand car wash, the lights would go on and off as I walked around the TH with the wand. Don't know if this is the case with your issue. Maybe even though in the house, your key fobs are close enough to trigger a connection. But I wouldn't know why only one light goes on.

Dealer visit may be in order.
