UConnect 5 and steering wheel audio controls

Got a 15 Sport with the UConnect 5; no audio controls on the steering wheel. Any thoughts or experiences in adding them, either factory or aftermarket makers?
Reaching to the screen and finding the "Next" button and keeping my eyes on the road is tricky at best; steering wheel controls would be a big plus for me.
Even something like a remote that could be attached on the console would be acceptable, something with a tactile feel. The touchscreen is nice, but hard to find a button by touch.

You should have buttons on the back of the steering wheel. They feel like rectangle paddles that you can press up down or in the center. All models, from what I understand, come with the steering wheel controls. I have a Sport myself with the 5.0 system and mine came with steering wheel controls.

Are you sure you don't have the comfort and convenience package or like package which includes them?

The only packages available on a Sport model are Cold Weather Group and Tow Group, aside from sirius and cd player which are optional. The 5.0 Uconnect comes as default on all Sport models. The only difference I could see is the cold weather group, as it moves a few of the radio knobs down below where the HVAC controls are. However, I do not see how this would make the difference of steering wheel controls or not, seeing as my steering wheel has extra buttons for where the adaptive cruise control would be, even though this option is not available on the Sport. I believe they're using 1 steering wheel for all models. Though I may be wrong.

@tgbraley, check your window sticker. Under the Interior Features section, it will list Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls if you have them. I just looked at my window sticker, and there it was.

Current: 2016 F150 EcoBoost 4x4

Uconnect 5.0 upgrade to 8.4AN (2014 Cherokee) <- See how I did it!!

Just checked the sticker, no mention of steering wheel audio controls; and double checked the back of the wheel, no controls.

In the Sport model, Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls is listed under the Optional Equipment section of the window sticker. It's only included in the Cold Weather Group and the various Special Edition Groups like Texas, Southwest, etc.

Doubt there is an after market solution that integrates with the Uconnect 5.0 radio to do what you want. Check with the dealer for a solution they may have. Probably expensive if the steering wheel needs to be replaced.

I don't have the steering wheel buttons and it is a nightmare. There is the voice button to find the usb songs or radio stations but that is friggin slow and half the time the thing doesn't understand english
