Thinking about buying this splitter from OEM Auto parts http://www.oemautopartsco.com/collec...iant=389067154. I already have the sirius/xm antenna installed (pic below) but I wish there was a cheaper way to add the gps antenna.

You shouldn't need a gps antennae. You had the same setup as me. The factory antennae is a dual purpose FM/AM/GPS antennae. Connect your FM antennae into the splitter; one cable goes into the satellite connector; one cable goes into the FM connector.

Sweet I didn't know it had gps in the antenna too. Where did you get the splitter from?

www.oemautopartsco.com

It's under the accesories section in the Jeep or Chrysler area.

The only one I'm seeing is the splitter that I posted earlier that comes with the gps antenna. Not sure if they sell the splitter without the antenna.

They have an option to buy it with or without the xm antenna.

http://www.justforjeeps.com/rergpsantenna.html Does the gps antenna install under the dash just below the windshield or does it have to be routed through to the roof?
You actually have newer vehicles in your junk yards? Around here our newer vehicles goes to auction and most people salvage and resell what they can. I wish I could just find a cherokee on a lot for parts lol.

Well, I did a national search and was able to find one. Just posted the info here:
Another 5.0 to 8.4 upgrade - Less expensive route

Just installed the sirius/xm and navigation splitter cable into the back of my ra4 from oemautoparts.com. My cherokee originally came with a navigation ready antenna so there was no need to use the one they sent me with the splitter. Everything works great and the navigation is amazing!
