The check antenna is prob the 911 service You can get a adapter that plugs into the purple plug. That should stop it.

The dealers are hit and miss. My normal place looked at me like I was stupid when I asked about Flash. Then I called another cross town and they were like. Sure when u want to come in. So it just depends on them if they are willing to do it. Good luck.

Turns out it was the SiriusXM antenna just needed to be plugged into the curry colored and pink colored connections, once I did that, boom, no more error message. All that's left now is dealer flash, which is still difficult to find one that willing

Sorry for the late response, glad it all works for you. It is a great improvement.

I have a 2016 sport with the 5.0 uconnect with xm from the factory. My question is, what all will I need then to install an RA4? Does the nav automatically work or do I need something else to make it work? Is there a way to make the climate control work on the screen and add or make the heated steering wheel and heated seats?

You will need the serial number of the donor vehicle, obtain the radio unlock code from a dealer, and enter the code when you install the 8.4. You will then need a dealer flash to enable the touch screen features that apply to your specific model. RA4 has factory installed nav, so it will work from the get go.

2015 North Deep Cherry Red. 4x4 - 2.4 - CWG - BU Cam - Tonneau Cover - Premium Carpeted mats - LED Interior/HL/Fogs. Kicker/JBL Speakers - 5.0 to 8.4 Upgrade with Nav. unlock. Many custom "Tweaks" to make mine unique.

Since your Cherokee already has XM available, everything should work other than what NScherry said to do. Look at the first couple pages of this thread and see what all I did. I saved a lot of money by getting the activation code online rather than going to the dealer. Also if your Cherokee doesn't come with heated seats or steering wheel already, I'm pretty sure you can't add them unless you physically buy a new wheel or leather seats or something.

I have the leather steering wheel with the heating element that I installed right after I bought the jeep. So all you need is the vin and serial number off the radio and you can work it all no problem?

I also have the radio that has the screen on/off on the radio itself ra2. Do I just need to swap the hvac controls over and is that plug and play?
