Wow, I think you have an oppurtunity for some money back here. The power folding mirror thing has been a subject of conversation ever since the beginning of the Cherokee's life.
See this thread : Power Folding Mirrors

@David_Baker is in Australia, and power folding mirrors have been available on Cherokees outside of North America since 2014 MY.
Now...mention of same power folding mirrors in North American owner's manuals have been there since 2014 also. Under different option packages and for different trims. Early on they were mentionned in canadian owner's manuals but not US, yet the option was NOT available in Canada.

I think they've messed up on the promo here. Either the option is available just for one or two trims (Overland ? Limited ?) and not others with the SafetyTech group (meaning TH and High Altitude), or it just isn't avaialble in North America.

I would push this issue. Hard. I'm sure there will be some compensation for you, somehow. Not sure they can install them though...

Ha! Compensation might be a key chain. Don't bother asking about the Fuel Economy (ECO) mode documented in the owners manual either.

I just checked my window sticker on my 2016 TH. I have both the Safety and Tech packages. The power folding mirror is not listed in either of those packages.

It is however listed in the Ventilated/Memory seat group, but as Power Multi-Function Mirrors with MANUAL Fold-Away. I guess I just found one of the few options I don't have!!!

Exactly , all NA Cherokee side view mirrors fold in "MANUALLY".
There is however a setting in this group to have the side views "tilt downward" automatically
when you place tranny into reverse.

We get the folding (manual for some bizarre reason) but no option for the tilt downwards!

On my Limited, build date 7/15, it has both electric folding mirrors and tilt down in reverse gear, the tilt down selectable in the uconnect. Seemed to be pretty standard on U.K. Limiteds when reading about them before buying.

Cherokee Limited 2.2litre 197bhp diesel. Uconnect 8.4aN with premium 9speaker system. Premium leather trimmed bucket seats withe heating/cooling. Luxury group. Park assist group. HID headlights.
