Hi Guys

I have the keyless entry.
what do you do when you go in the water and can't just lock you car and hide it under the bumper?

take the key out of the fob, lock the fob in the glove box, lock the jeep with the key.

There is a process (which I now forget) to lock the FOB inside the vehicle and 'disable' the proximity feature. It is something like locking the doors and closing it three times (the system refuses to lock the first two, I think, and then realizes you are serious on the third try)

.
.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

Try locking all doors on exit. Then open the cargo door. Toss the fob in the cargo area and hit the close button on the left side. I have done this twice on accident and none of the doors or cargo will open. Fortunately I had my phone and used the U Connect app to unlock.

You can always stash it in the towing hitch area and just put the cover back on. This seems to be a better method than hoping somebody just doesn't pick it up off your gear on the beach leaving you stranded. There are also water tight small sacks if you want to have it tied around your neck, but then you have safety issues.
