So I confirmed on my way back to the office from a job that my heated seat backs do in fact heat up. Answers that question, I guess.

What a joke. 2 people for the whole State and they only take calls twice a week. I finally found an lawyer who specializes in veteran's appeals. Initially, the agreement was 30%. Last April I had the 4th spine surgery at L5/S1. By June, the artificial disc had slipped out of place, and I had to have it redone! Based on what I went through last summer, he lowered his fee to 20% because their goal is to help the vets. Nice guy. He thinks my case is solid: probably no hearing. I had an interview with an Employment Specialist, and he told me that if anyone was deserving of this, it was me. So, I sit and wait. I can only pray that Trump guts the VA. He can do what Reagan did when the air traffic controllers went on strike: fire them all and gut the union which protects all the lazy bastards in administration at the VA.

OP: I apologize for hyjacking your thread.

I was lucky enough to have a neighbor who knew me well and also knew Sen. Orrin Hatch. He wrote him a letter and what was once 50%, quickly changed to 90% but paid at 100% because of the unpredictable nature of the headaches. They tried to lower it when I had 2 seizures as the VA math calculations are horrid. They take all your numbers and then just average the top and bottom. Awhile back the VA asked if I wanted to file for TBI. I had one year to do so. But going through all the red-tape and acting as a guinea pig has greatly discouraged me from doing so as my status is permanent. Luckily seizure free for over a decade.

Yes apologies on the thread hijack.

That's normal. Can't have the heated seats become a potential fire hazard. My WK2 was the same. If it was a long trip the heated seats turned off quite a bit for self preservation.

We made an impromptu trip to Florida the year after Superstorm Sandy as we had just had it with below Zero temps. We had a wheel sensor give out right around Savannah. Minded we went through the night from below Zero to above 80 degrees in about 17 hours. Lucky it was under warranty and Colonial Jeep East in Orlando was the most pleasant dealership I had ever worked with having it fixed. Gave me a loaner for free even though the warranty was an after market service contract without rental included.

This stuff tends to be hard on any vehicle. The roads were just a lot holed mess with trees down all over SC making I-95 like driving a weird slalom race down to warmer weather.

Thanks for keeping this thread up on the board! I took my vehicle in this morning, they apparently opened it up this time as compared to when I bought it. It does in fact need an element for the back. I'm thinking they didn't confirm it or just blew it off the first time before I drove it off the lot. It'll be fixed in a couple days. Thank again for checking everyone!
