Exterior damage

Recently while driving, something hit our Jeep Cherokee and damaged the hood, left daytime running light and windshield. We had the windshield replaced through Safelite and that cost us $350. Just wondering if someone could point me out to a good direction regarding replacement hoods and daytime running light housing. I tried researching aftermarket hoods in google, but I did not see a lot of support for the hood. Ebay hoods have damages as well. Going to insurance is not an option for us. Thanks in advance.

I use Tasca Parts. http://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts...omponents-scat

Looks like a new hood is about $530

Edit to add I just guessed on the year and trim... you should do a proper search for compatibility.

Thanks for the fast reply. Is OEM the only support for exterior hoods that you know of? I'm asking them right now if the 7 grill inserts will come with the hood.

I am not aware of any aftermarket options. It is a fairly complex stamp and I'd imagine low interest so I wouldn't expect one until FCA gives up their dies.

I would imagine the inserts are not included. Especially since they vary based on trim. Heck, even the "JEEP" badge is a separate part number.

Here is the page for the grille parts. (again though, I'm making the search on trim and year up because I don't know what you have.)

I have called them, and yes they sell the grill inserts and the jeep logo separately. Sorry, I have the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4 x 4, black. Will a trailhawk hood a direct replacement for the sport?

I have no idea where your located, but I assume you have no interest in one from a salvage yard (or junk for the former name). I know that they are all hooked up and one is probably out there, but might be more costly than a new one. Anyhow, sorry you had the damage and hope your able to find the parts necessary.

I really don't know for sure, but from what I can tell there is only one hood part number for all trims. I think the only differences are in the trim (the grille inserts, Jeep badge, and in the case of the trailhawk they add a sticker).

The last suggestion to check salvage yards isn't bad. I also would get an estimate from a few body shops. By the time you purchase all the parts and have them painted you may be better off having what you have repaired.

I say this under the assumption that the damage isn't too bad. If it is you likely have internal structural parts that will need repaired/replaced too.

Thanks. I am located in Norfolk, VA. A profile edit is on the way.
